Once
again Carlotta Gall has come up with repetition of her venomous propaganda
against Pakistan. On 1st October, The NY Times again provided her
the forum to disseminate her lethal propaganda against Pakistan by publishing
her article in Opinion corner. This time again, the timing of her article is
crucial. It’s published at a time when India is trying to tarnish Pakistan’s
international image based on alleged support to terrorists. The same news
paper, The NY Times is publishing biased stories on so called “Indian Surgical
Strikes” against militants inside Pakistan. Hence, the nexus between Indian
RAW, Carlotta Gall and NY Times is very much evident.
The
NY Times article titled, “15 Years in the
Afghan Crucible” has reworded Gall’s previous articles and took some
excerpts from her book, “The Wrong Enemy”
to allege Pakistan’s role in Afghanistan’s turmoil. Instead of looking into own
failures, US is well known to put blame on others. Same is happening in case of
Afghanistan. It is ridiculous to narrate that 100,000 US/NATO forces utilizing
$500billions funds for almost fourteen years in Afghanistan failed due to alleged
Pakistan’s support to militants which itself suffered heavy losses in terms of
men and material in US led GWOT. In comparison to US/NATO forces Pakistan Armed
Forces has achieved tremendous success against militants in North and South
Waziristan Agency. The Operation Zarb e Azb has targeted almost 4000 terrorists
and the recent years have seen marked decrease in terrorist incident inside
Pakistan especially after strict border management at western front.
On
the other hand, the situation inside Afghanistan is becoming precarious with
each passing day because RAW-NDS nexus is getting strengthened at behest of CIA
in Afghanistan. Whenever Pakistan tries to play a role in Afghanistan
reconciliation it faces grave challenges from RAW-NDS nexus in the region. The
fact of the matter is US was never interested to bring peace in Afghanistan.
Throughout US/NATO stay in Afghanistan there was continuous change of policies
by Obama administration. Even Iraq War was a profound failure, soon after US
withdrawal, ISIS emerged in the region playing havoc to regional peace and
stability. In Afghanistan same ISIS tried to emerge in the region which was
given a tough time by Pakistan Armed Forces by adopting policy of ‘Zero Tolerance’.
Instead
of accepting own mistakes, putting blame on others will not solve the issue. US
media and journalists need to take facts into consideration before putting
blame on others. The Indian lobby in US is misusing US media to create
misunderstanding between Pakistan and America having relationship based on
alliance and cooperation for decades. Pakistan has played a front line role as
major non-NATO ally in US led war on terror. In doing so it has suffered heavy
losses which are often recognized by US policymakers in their statements.
The
recent article is just a repetition of her previous Indian led mantra against
Pakistan. Time and again Carlotta Gall, Christine Fair and Bruce Reidel reword
their writings, give it an appealing title and get is easily published in
renowned dailies of USA including The NY times and Wall Street Journal. The
article even do not meet the basic requirements of journalism and get it published
because Indian RAW is investing heavily in US media and abovementioned
journalists, paying them millions of dollars to disseminate propaganda against
Pakistan. Being superpower and responsible state, US media must not fall prey
to hostile Indian propaganda and must present true picture in order to maintain
its standard of neutrality and unbiased approach in the field of journalism.
