State Terrorists are Still Rational Actors

The broadly-accepted distinction between governmental and anti-governmental terrorism has been blurred in the ongoing different war which continues between the US-led state actors and the non-state actors, popularly called the Islamic militants or terrorists. We need a realistic approach to determine the question of rational and irrational actors in international politics, as the state terrorists still consider themselves as rational actors.

When the US and other pro-American coalition troops including Israeli and Indian forces kill the innocent Afghans, Palestinians, Syrians and Kashmiris through aerial bombardment, ground shelling and special operations, Europeans and Americans do not consider the same as terrorism, because they are rational actors, but, when Muslim freedom fighters seek revenge through ambush attacks and suicide operations, term of terrorism is being used against them, because these acts are committed by irrational actors.

Washington and Western media like Israel conveniently defines terrorism as actions by the parties which operate against their own interests and ignore any other kind. On the other hand, Muslims equate the use of force by America and its partners in the occupied territories with state terrorism.  

War between two sovereign states is a reciprocal activity between like (though not necessarily equal) forces. War especially between the militants and state terrorists is a one way relationship between unlike. As in most of the cases, both the US-led military troops and the Muslim militants led by Al-Qaeda and the Islamic State group (Also known as Daesh, ISIS, ISIL) also kill the innocent people, apart from the concerned combatants; war or different war might most clearly be defined as the use of violence by the armed against the unarmed. Only because the targets are unprepared by organizational training to cope with the shock of violence, are they put into terror or fear. Conventional military action through military forces against the innocent civilians as found by the Americans, Israelis and Indians in case of Iraq (During occupation), Afghanistan (By NATO), Syria and in the ‘controlled territories’ of the Palestine and Kashmir respectively may well terrify the general mass, is also terrorism hence, part of this new style conflict.

Quincy Wright, while observing in relation to strategy and diplomacy, takes war as “the use of regulated violence for political ends.” It is an approach comfortably shared by such realist thinkers as Hobbes, Bacon, Machiavelli, Clausewitz and Morgenthau.

We must keep in mind that terrorism in all its manifestations either practiced by a group or the state is a form of war based upon its manipulation of force to meet political objectives.

A distinction is usually drawn between the physical (war) and the psychological (terrorism) in case of the past wars of the sovereign states. But, it is a terminological confusion, if we only justify the war between two rival states and do not call the induction of fear by military action in suppressing freedom movements as terrorism. It is not doubtful that fear-inducement, created by terrorist groups like ISIS and the state terrorists are a means sufficient in itself to achieve the goals and especially in the present different war.

Even the state actors like the US-led entities are using physical force to create a sense of fear and awe—the instruments of state terrorism. Like the militants, they are employing abnormal force. Civilians continuously live in the shadow of fear, terror and death.

There is no denying the fact that since 9/11, the US-led global war on terror has been functioning in much the same way as terrorism. The methods of force employment overtly and covertly by the American troopers and CIA, and covertly by the Muslim fighters are the same, though difference exists only in the tactics.

In the aftermath of the 9/11 tragedy, various experts and researchers opined that modern terrorism has many meanings like violent acts, economic terrorism etc., but its main aim is to achieve political, economic and social ends.

Clausewitz concedes that commerce and diplomacy are much like war. In these terms, terrorism includes both bloody and bloodless wars, which is also being employed by the US-led state actors through open and clandestine tactics.

In this new style war of history, there is no difference between the violent acts committed by the non-sovereign entities and the sovereign entities, as line between official and non-official terrorism has been obscured.

It is notable that after the disintegration of the Soviet Union in 1991, the US emerged as the sole superpower in the unipolar world. In consultation with his Zionist-advisers, American former President Bush, (The Senior) replaced the old bipolar order with the New World Order (NWO), with the US acting as a kind of global policeman to protect the political and economic interests of Israel and the American Jews who are owners of many big cartels—multinational corporations, arms industries, oil companies, banks etc., including print and electronic media of the US in particular and the world in general. Thus, by dominating American internal policies, Zionist Jews mould country’s foreign policy for their own interests. By changing America into corporate industry, they have converted the world into corporate industry.

In the unipolar world, even the United Nations system underwent a tremendous change. It became an instrument of the US policy to establish American hegemony in the world. The Third World—Muslim countries were compelled to realign their domestic policies according to Washington’s dictates. As part of the bloodless wars, in order to obtain the hidden agenda of Jews, the US imposed its sudden terms of globalization such as free markets, privatization and de-nationalization etc. on the ill-prepared developing countries and the Muslim countries, which left behind shattered nations and a global financial crisis and increased poverty in most of these countries, which resulted into deaths of many persons due to diseases and lack of medical treatment. It further widened the gap between the poor and the rich countries or G-7 countries. The corporations and international financial institutions like IMF and World Bank which are indirectly controlled by Jews have continued to drive the project of globalization through the sole superpower.

Besides, America’s child-killing sanctions against Iraq and Iran; late action to curb ethnic cleansing in Kosovo, support to Israel’s aggressive occupation of the West Bank and Gaza, with vetoing any effective action by the UN to curb the Israeli state terrorism  greatly annoyed the Muslims all over the world.

When President George W. Bush became the US president, he and the neo-conservatives crossed all the limits in securing the political, economic and religious interests of the Jews and Israel at the cost of Muslims and patriot Americans. Both President Bush and President Barack Obama justified the unjustified war on terror. The US-led countries deliberately targeted several Muslim countries like Iraq, Afghanistan, Egypt, Libya, and Syria, including Somalia, Yemen etc. where they were indirectly involved. They converted these countries and some other vulnerable Islamic countries into failed states to fulfill the dream of a greater Israel. Now, these small countries are considered safe-havens of terrorists and are considered irrational non-state actors.

The prevalent unequal global system which was evolved by America and its Western major powers after the World War II, tends to give a greater political and economic leverage to the most developed nations who could safeguard their interests at the cost of the weak countries. Whenever, any controversy arises, the UN Security Council enforces the doctrine of collective security against the small states, while the five big powers, especially the Israeli-led US protect their interests by using veto. This shows discrimination between the powerful and the weaker.

It is mentionable that in 2001, UN had permitted the United States to attack Afghanistan under the cover of right of self-defence. In 2003, UN became helpless regarding Anglo-American illegitimate invasion of Iraq. In case of the Indian occupied Kashmir, the issue still remains unresolved as UN resolutions regarding the plebiscite were never implemented, because Washington supports the illegitimate stand of India due to its anti-China interests. Similarly, US-led NATO countries attacked on Libya by setting aside the international law.

Machiavelli in the ‘Prince’ offers the classic explanation of the power-game. His prince is a rational leader with lion-like image outwardly, but uses the fox-like tactics. He follows an imperialist policy.

In these terms, American military might had prevailed for ousting the President Saddam Hussein and occupying Iraq. The motives of the US President Bush might be dubious, but the same were justified by the false propaganda that Iraq had Weapons of Mass Destructions. Whether Saddam   Hussein was guilty is now irrelevant question. Saddam had to go because a powerful country and a rational actor like America had decided to remove him for the Israeli interests.

It is of particular attention that on September 25, 2016, at the UN General Assembly, while indicating the unjust global order, Pope Francis condemned the global financial institutions, calling on them to ensure that countries “are not subjected to oppressive lending systems which, far from promoting progress, subject people to mechanisms which generate greater poverty, exclusion and dependence.”

Earlier, addressing the US Congress, Pope Francis said, “No religion is immune from forms of individual delusion or ideological extremism…we must be especially attentive to every type of fundamentalism. A delicate balance is required to combat violence perpetual in the name of a religion, an ideology or an economic system…every life is sacred.”

Taking note of America’s non-acceptance of the Syrian refugees, Francis reminded the law-makers by remarking that the United States “is part of a larger whole on America in the Americas, where immigration is a deeply rooted part of history…we, the people of this continent, are not fearful of foreigners, because most of us were once foreigners.”

Pope Francis also warned of globalization, and said, “Keep in mind all those people around us are trapped in a cycle of poverty.” He emphasized upon the need of “creation and distribution of wealth.”

While calling for an end to the arms trade by arms dealers, Francis explained, “Deadly weapons for money are being sold to those who plan to inflict untold suffering on individuals and society…money that is drenched in blood, often innocent blood.”

He further added, “If politics must truly be at the service of human person, it follows that it cannot be slave to economy and finance.”

However, owing to his religious status, Pope Francis did not openly elaborate his views. In other worlds, he indicated the double games, secret strategies of the rulers, politicians, their collaboration with the arms dealers, creation of a crisis, exploitation of peoples’ feelings etc., and manipulation of the Syrian war at a critical time when the brutalities, committed by the ISIS were being blamed by the US-led Western entities on the religion of Islam and Muslims.

As regards the terror led by the Zionist Jews which is also called Khazarian Mafia, various writers of the Veterans Today have also pointed out their direct and indirect terrorism. In this context, under the caption “The Khazarian Mafia rejected humanity and pitted Muslims and Christians against each other,” Jonas E. Alex & Michael A. Hoffman, while quoting writers and authors, wrote on August 11, 2016,  “The collusion between Saudi Arabia and the Israeli state against the two Arab nations, Assad’s Syria and Saddam Hussein’s Iraq renowned for protecting their Christian minority populations, is justly infamous in the Middle East, where the U.S. serves as the Israeli golem…to understand some of the deepest issues and current conflicts in the Middle East and much of the West, we have to go back to Daniel Pipes who…declared…the United States and much of the West, have ought to support both the Syrian rebels/terrorists and Assad government at the same time…the West should prevent either side in the civil war from emerging victorious by helping whichever side is losing, so as to prolong their conflict. Pipes knew that this was a diabolical enterprise…a prolonged conflict in the region would create more bloodshed, more misery, and more destruction…perpetual wars mean perpetual hatred for the countries which have promoted the wars in the first place, namely, Israel and the Zionist State of America. He didn’t ask for peaceful resolution. He wanted massive deaths. He obviously wanted the Syrian terrorists to cut the hearts out of their victims…more chaos is strategic?...the Neoconservative movement has its political and intellectual ideology…they have and will continue to pit decent people against each other so that they can establish their Khazarian Kingdom on earth. Their loyalty in America is neither liberal nor conservative, otherwise they would never have manipulated both parties…if you understand that the Khazarian Mafia can rig the political game and roll the ideological dice for political reasons.”

They explained, “The central point is that since the Khazarian Mafia rejected the moral and political order, they have inexorably embraced chaos and destruction…whether decent Muslims and Christians live or die in the Middle East…they do not care…whether mothers are still weeping and moaning for their children in places like Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Syria and elsewhere. They do not care whether people get hurt or entire countries get vaporized in a second. They only care about completing their diabolical plan…the US government is a parliament of whores…then the Jewish revolutionary spirit is the synagogue of Satan. That synagogue has created an environment where “money, television, and bullshit become the norm…the divide-and-conquer strategy has been used and is being used by the Khazarian Mafia to destroy countries and people they do not like… Salafist/Wahhabist Saudi theology proceeds to commissar the Sunnis by means of ISIS recruitment, and while their Muslim victims among the Shiites are marginalized, Israeli Zionism and Orthodox Judaism are riding high in prestige in the West…this narrative fits the Neocon “clash of civilizations” script perfectly.”

Ms. Nina Sidorova who is President of the Northern California Tenant Association and is working for the welfare of the low middle classes in the US was injured, but survived, as the Zionist-Israeli agents made an assassination-attempt on her. Nevertheless, as regards another form of state terrorism, the US-led troops, assisted by CIA have carried out indiscriminate mass round-ups in catching up suspected Muslim men and women in Afghanistan and Iraq, including some Arab countries without evidence. Israeli secret agency Mossad and Indian RAW have helped the CIA officials in arresting the Muslim men, having beard and ladies, wearing scarves. Besides, various techniques of terrorism were also used in Guantanamo Bay, Iraq’s Abu Ghraib prison and torture cells, set up in ships where operatives of CIA and FBI killed several suspected persons through physical violence. American notorious private military firm Blackwater also eliminated countless Muslims in Iraq and Afghanistan.

While acting upon the plan of Rand Corporation, the US sparked a civil war between the Sunnis and Shias in wake of war on terror to promote the objectives of Israel in the Muslim World. In this respect, the horrible scenes of deaths were witnessed, especially in Iraq and then, in Pakistan. President Obama has also broken all the record of human rights by extrajudicial killings of the innocent people through illegal CIA-operated drone attacks in Afghanistan, Somalia, Yemen etc. in general and Pakistan in particular.

It is now open secret that the CIA and Mossad also supported ISIS terrorists; Al-Qaeda’s Al-Nusra Front, the rebels and mercenaries to oust the Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’s government and against the current Iraqi regime as part of America’s double game to obtain Israeli goals.

Meanwhile, Russian-led coalition of Iran, Iraq, the Syrian army-the National Defense Forces (NDF) and Lebanon-based Hezbollah, which had broken the backbone of the US-CIA-assisted ISIS terrorists, Al-Qaeda’s Al-Nusra Front and the rebel groups. Moscow also exposed the smuggling of oil by ISIS-controlled regions of Iraq to some European countries and inaction of their governments in this respect. Russian-supported Assad’s forces have retaken several territories from the control of the rebels and the ISIS terrorists who are on flee in Syria and Iraq.

On August 25, this year, Iraqi forces recaptured the northern town of Qayyarah from the grip of the Takfire Daesh terrorist group.

Earlier, on June 26, 2016, Russian-backed Iraqi forces have recaptured the city of Fallujah. Following dual strategy, Pentagon welcomed the retaken of Fallujah, and the US Secretary of State John Kerry has offered Moscow to fight the ISIS terrorists jointly, in case Russia stops targeting the Syrian rebel groups. Overtly, Kerry who praised Moscow’s peace-efforts to resolve the Syrian crisis has repeatedly stated that America wants a political solution of the Syrian conflict, but, covertly, he is implementing CIA-prepared plan-B of Syria’s partition so as to fulfill the Zionist-Israeli aims.

Fighting has escalated in Aleppo in the recent weeks, which is the Industrial base of Syria. The rebels broke a siege of the government forces, while Syrian and Russian warplanes have been carrying out air strikes on rebel-held areas.

In this connection, The World Beast Com indicated that Aleppo will decide the future of the Syrian war, but, Russian-led Syrian forces are in better position than those of the US-backed rebel groups and ISIS terrorists.

Undoubtedly, it is due to skillful diplomacy of the President Vladimir Putin that very soon, Syria will be liberated from the hold of the Israeli-led Western powers. Now, the scenario in Syria shows that the CIA-plan-B will also fail.

In fact, both Obama and Kerry have been following secret game; therefore, their confused policy has resulted into their contradictory statements. Earlier, they stated that Assad will remain in power and afterwards, they stated that Assad will have to go. Now, again, they have backed out from their statements, keeping silence by remarking to resolve the Syrian issue in accordance with the Geneva-based, UNO ceasefire agreement and talks. Clandestinely, CIA also directed Al-Nusra Front and ISIS to continue terror assaults, as these militant outfits are in control of some areas of Syria and are not subject to the truce agreement.

Notably, US Secretary of State John Kerry and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov attended a news conference after a meeting on Syria in Geneva on August 26, 2016. Analysts are of the opinion that despite “John Kerry and Sergey Lavrov’s saying that they had made progress in 10 hours of talks in Geneva and that just a few issues remained to be resolved, it seems increasingly unlikely that the United States and Russia will conclude a deal on Syria.”

It is noteworthy that there is a co-relationship of the double game, secret strategy and false flag operations which continue unabated.

In this regard, in connivance with CIA, Mossad and RAW, the Sunni-based militant groups, Al-Qaeda, ISIS and their affiliated outfits conducted various forms of terror attacks in Syria, Turkey, Iraq, Afghanistan, Indonesia, Pakistan etc. and some African countries like Yemen. Besides Muslims, they also massacred a number of Christians.

And frustrated owing to successes achieved by Russia in Syria and Iraq, instance of some major Western powers on Tel Aviv for the two-state solution of the Israeli-Palestinian issue, rift between the US and Europe etc., terror attacks in Paris, Brussels, Orlando, San Bernardino, Nice and Munich which killed several innocent persons were also false flag operation and were part of the secret strategy of CIA and Mossad which are in collaboration with each other in order to obtain the covert aims of their countries, particularly Zionist-Jewish unfinished agenda.  

Nonetheless, both the Republican presidential nominee Donald J. Trump and that of the Democrats Hillary Clinton are agents of Israeli and are being funded by the Zionist Jews.

In this context, Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney pointed outs, “It is long been clear that the pro-Israel, ultra-Zionist network of think-tanks, public policy organizations, media outlets and lobbying organizations which have absolute control over the United States Congress, executive branch and foreign policy, actually run the US government…politicians who do not submit to the Zionist agenda are not elected or appointed to serve the government. We know that no government can serve two masters, and as a result, we have seen Israeli priorities placed above those of the American people.”

We may conclude that despite the fact that Russia and the social media or internet have exposed the terror acts of the US, Israel, India and some Western countries who are being controlled by America and the international Jewish Cabal (The Khazarian Mafia) which dominate the world, these state terrorists who are, in fact, irrational actors still consider themselves as rational actors.

Defense Day, Imbibing the Spirit of 1965 War

Every year September 6 is celebrated as the defense day to pay tribute to the Pakistani soldiers who defeated India in the 1965 war.

Military thinkers agree that although the physical force will determine the type and scale of war, yet it is the will to fight or moral force which determines the outcome of war. Clausewitz puts it this way, “One might say that the physical force seems little more than the wooden hilt, while moral factors are the precious metal, the real weapon.”

In his book, “Fighting Power: German and U.S. Army Performance, 1939-1945”, Creveld identifies the elements of moral force, whom he calls “fighting power, the willingness to fight and the readiness, if necessary, to die”. The greater these elements, the less vulnerable an armed force will be to demoralization. Moral force, then, is the crucial factor in determining the combat power of any belligerent.

During the 1965 war such elements like will to fight and moral force have been more found in the personnel of Pakistan’s Armed Forces then those of India.

When, on September 6, 1965, India started the war, and its forces crossed the international border, on the western front in Lahore, Pakistan’s Armed Forces quickly responded. Indian Regiment had also crossed the BRB canal and captured the town of Batapore (Jallo Mur). The same day, a counter offensive by Pakistanis soldiers, consisting of an armoured division and infantry division forced the Indian 15th Division to withdraw to its starting point. In this regard, the huge credit goes to the all men of Pak Army, who were deployed in the Lahore areas of Wahgah, Burki etc. Without bothering for their lives, they fought bravely. Among them, Major Raja Aziz Bhatti played a huge role in the outcome of the Lahore battles and was martyred (Shaheed).

Similarly, in case of Sialkot, several soldiers of the Pak Army sacrificed their lives to stop advancement of Indian tanks. The 1965 war witnessed some of the largest tank battles since World War II, and was fought at Chawinda in Sialkot sector—The Battle of Chawinda resulted into victory of Pakistan whose armoured forces destroyed 120 tanks of India.

As regards aerial warfare between Pakistan Air Force (PAF) and Indian Air Force (IAF), the latter emerged as victorious in the I965 war because, at the cost of their personal safety, the personnel of Pakistan Air Force defeated India. During that war, PAF had destroyed 100 Indian aircraft on ground and in the air, while damaged more than 10—not counting the undermined losses inflicted by PAF’s night bombing. In this regard, Squadron Leader M. M. Alam set new records in history of air warfare on 7th September by defending Pakistan’s airspace, and shot down five Indian aircraft in less than sixty seconds at Sargodha.

In relation to the sacrificing spirit, let us take the example of Flight Lieutenant Yunus Hussain who fought in air battles fearlessly. During one such engagement, he fought singly against 6 enemy aircraft and shot down 2 Hunters. On 6 September, while attacking Halwara airfield, his small formation was intercepted by a large number of enemy, and although his aircraft was hit, he refused to break off the engagement by disregarding his personal safety, and was martyred.

The role of Pakistan Navy in the Indo-Pak war of 1965 is also appreciable. Securing Pakistan’s coasts, it played a vital role in defeating India. The Operation Dawarka marked was launched by Pakistan on September 7. Indian town of Dwarka was chosen to be a target of the attack. The Pakistani operation was successful and its warships harboured in Bombay, making the Indian Navy unable to sortie. In this context, Ghazi, the only submarine successfully attacked heavy ships of the Indian Navy, aiding Operation Dwarka.

However, there were many national heroes like Brigadier Ahsan Rashid, Major Raja Aziz Bhatti, SQN LDR M. M. Alam, SQN LDR Sarfaraz Ahmed Rafiqui etc. who fought courageously with the Indian forces.

In fact, it was due to the moral force that despite Indian surprise invasion in 1965 and the qualitative and numerical superiority over Pakistan, while showing courage, and by sacrificing their lives, the Pakistani forces not only recaptured the territories from India, but also took Khem Karan from Indian forces including various regions of Rajastan, Sindh, and Chumb in Kashmir. Indian defeat was owing to demoralization of its soldiers.

By imbibing the same spirit of the 1965 war, Pakistan’s Armed Forces during the successful military operation, Zarb-e-Azb compelled Taliban to retreat from North Waziristan Agency. Notably, since June 15, 2014, the jets of Pakistan Air Force have bombed militants’ hideouts in North Waziristan, and killed thousands of insurgents including foreign militants, while Pak Army has also killed several terrorists through ground offensive and many of them surrendered before the Army. And during street to street fighting, without bothering for their lives, and by air-dropping commandos at the risky places, our forces made a great headway in disrupting the Taliban supply routes and links.

Operation, Zarb-e-Azb which has been extended to other tribal area and provinces of Pakistan, including Karachi is obtaining its objectives rapidly, as the Armed Forces have broken the backbone of the militants.

While addressing a ceremony of the golden jubilee celebrations of the 1965 war, Chief of Army Staff, Gen. Raheel said on September 6, last year that the operation Zarb-i-Azb was launched at a time when terrorist networks had solidified in the country. But, “our success is the result of our martyrs and ghazis—in Karachi and Balochistan, peace has returned, where militants have been surrendering their arms.”

Nonetheless, either it was the Indo-Pak war of 1965 or the present different war against the militants; it was owing to the superior moral force of sacrificing their own lives, noted in Pakistan’s soldiers, which caused demoralization among Indian forces and the Taliban—resulting into victory of the guardians of the country in both cases.

Foreign Connections of the MQM Exposed

After an aggressive anti-Pakistan speech of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain on August 22, this year, party workers attacked several media houses in Karachi.

Addressing his workers on Phone from London, who were on hunger strike, Altaf Hussain went to called for the break-up of Pakistan. He ordered attacks on the offices of Karachi-based media houses of Geo Television Network, ARY and Samaa News. Particularly, office of the ARY TV channel was badly destroyed by the MQM mob. During the violence, a passer-by was killed, while several others were injured, including the staff of the ARY TV and policemen. During the crackdown made by the Rangers and police several extremists of the MQM and its leaders were rounded up.

On August 24, 2016, Altaf Hussain’s leaked phone call to MQM exposed foreign connections of the MQM and its chief Altaf Hussain when he asked USA, Indian secret agency RAW and even Israel for help to disintegrate Pakistan.

Various leaders of Pakistan’s political and religious parties including every segment of society and media analysts strongly condemned the anti-Pakistan statements of Altaf Hussain in wake of protest-rallies. Some of them called him traitor. Even, his own party workers condemned Altaf Hussian’s statement. In a press conference MQM leader Farooq Sattar said that that the MQM was dissociating itself from Altaf Hussain, and now the decisions would be made under his leadership—not from London.

Meanwhile, MQM MNA Asif Hasnain joined Mustafa Kamal’s Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP), rejecting Farooq Sattar’s earlier announcement that the MQM was dissociating itself from Altaf Hussain. Earlier, knowing the real intentions of Altaf Hussain, several MQM workers joined PSP.

The PSP chief Mustafa Kamal who have repeatedly pointed out the links between MQM and Altal Hussain, rejected the MQM’s statement that the party chief was handing over party affairs to the Coordination Committee and focusing on improving his health. Kamal invited others to join the party and said, “If you have a problem with Altaf, leave the mandate. It is not your mandate, it is his mandate.”

It is notable that before the ongoing operation by the Rangers and Police, gang warfare, criminal activities and target killings had taken the lives of thousands of persons including the personnel of the Rangers and Police in Karachi. A rise of sectarian violence also resulted into several casualties.

The present Government led by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif launched the targeted operation in Karachi after obtaining consensus of all stakeholders like political parties, business community and members of civil society. For the purpose, Karachi was particularly handed over to the Rangers with power to take action against the culprits without any discrimination.

In 2014, leader of the MQM and Governor Sindh Ishratul Ibad Khan had submitted his resignation, as MQM dubbed the operation with the pretext that it is against its office bearers. While, this party had itself supported the operation, and even demanded to hand over Karachi to Army.

Notably, MPA of MQM, Nadeem Hashmi was arrested on September 10, 2013 owing to firing at a police mobile in the Haideri area of the city in which the two policemen were killed. In the same month, some MQM workers were arrested, who were found involved in criminal activities, while the founder and leader of MQM Altaf Hussain had condemned the raid on MQM’s offices.

In the recent past, the paramilitary force proved that the MQM was behind the Baldia Town factory fire in which 250 persons were killed. On February 8, 2015, the Rangers also arrested a senior MQM worker namely Rafiq Rajput who not only ran a team of ‘hit men’ but was also involved in the May 12, 2007 carnage in the Karachi.

On February 10, 2015, Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan disclosed that MQM Chief Altaf Hussain based in London has let loose a “reign of terror” in Karachi. He elaborated, “Nobody is safe at the hands of the party’s armed wing…with the revelation of the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) report in which Hussain’s party has been held responsible for the killing of over 250 Baldia Town factory workers.” Earlier, Imran Khan also pledged to take Altaf Hussain to the British court, as he is also behind the killing of PTI’s leader Zahra Shahid and journalist Wali Babar in Karachi.

However, some developments need attention, as these have proved that traitors are within the MQM. On April 30, 2015, during a press conference, while presenting two terrorists who he claimed belonged to the MQM, SSP Malir, Karachi Rao Anwar disclosed, “Key MQM leaders have connections with Indian spy agency RAW”, adding that the arrested MQM workers had received training from RAW. He further pointed out that the MQM was actively working against Pakistan, should be banned.

On the same day, the MQM leaders Dr Farooq and Rizvi strongly rejected accusations of SSP Anwar regarding his party’s affiliations with RAW. But, addressing his supporters via a telephonic address in Karachi, on the same day, Altaf Hussain not only criticized Pakistan’s armed forces, but also asked assistance from RAW. He also instructed his supporters to start “commando” training and to get arms—what MQM had been planning.

Next day, DG of ISPR Maj-Gen. Asim Bajwa called MQM chief’s speech disgusting—reference to the army or its leadership, adding that criminals’ links to political parties will not be tolerated.

But, like his previous contradictory statements, on May 1, 2015, Altaf Husain again apologized for his derogatory remarks against Army, while praising the latter. He also backed out from his statement about seeking help from RAW. And his Karachi-based leadership also started presenting various clarifications to conceal the real face of its chief. 

It is noteworthy that MQM’s leaders were already confused when on March 11, 2015, in a targeted operation, Rangers’ forces carried out a raid at Nine-Zero, the headquarters of the party in Karachi, and a large cache of illegal weapons were recovered and several criminals had also been arrested. Altaf had again targeted Pak Army and ISI. Afterwards, he again admired these security agencies and Army Chief Gen. Raheel Sharif.

Nevertheless, the real character of the MQM Chief Altaf Hussain also needs analysis. In this context, sometimes, he blamed Pak Army and ISI for harassing his party workers, calling the residents of Karachi to defend themselves, sometimes, he admired these security agencies, sometimes, he threatened to separate Karachi from the federation, sometimes, he showed a strong sense of patriotism for Pakistan In July 2015, Altaf Hussain threatened that there will be “war on the streets” of Karachi and that “Pakistan will be turned into Somalia”. On July 16, the MQM leader addressed his workers and issued direct threats to the DG of the Inter-services Intelligence (ISI) Lt. Gen. Rizwan Akhtar and the DG of Sindh Rangers. Lt. Gen, Bilal Akbar.

In fact, changing stance of Altaf Hussain and clarifications of other MQM leaders in this connection displayed that they want to continue MQM’s armed wing including subversive activities in Karachi.

It is mentionable that Zulfiqar Mirza, the then Home Minister and Senior Vice President of the then ruling party—Pakistan Peoples Party claimed on April 9, 2011 that he had been relieved from his ministry owing to pressure from the government’s coalition partner, the MQM. Mirza pointed out that the issue of target killing and extortion was just a ruse to remove him from his post.

It is worth-mentioning that in June 3, 2014, Altaf Hussain was arrested by Scotland Yard Police in London. London Police and agencies were holding investigation against him in three cases including money laundering, after recovery of 7 Lac pounds from Altaf Hussain home and office in London—controversial speeches from London and Imran Farooq murder case. In this respect, in his article, Salman Mugsi wrote on August 27, 2011, “Altaf Hussain designated Waseem Akhtar in Karachi to arrange for the murder of Imran Farooq. Waseem Akhtar gave this task to Khalid Shameem and Hammad Siddiqui, who are incharge of militant wing of the MQM in Karachi. Khalid Shameem picked two boys from the student wing of MQM…who reached London, followed Imran Farooq for few days and noted his routines and then carried out his assassination according to the plan.”

It is of particular attention that a report of the JIT revealed that Saulat Mirza, the death row inmate and the former MQM’s worker, who recorded his statement before the JIT revealed that MQM had links with Indian RAW. Mirza confessed to killing 13 people, yet he was implicated in two murders only.

As regards “Batha khauri”, everyone in Karachi knows that MQM had been collecting this illegal money from the local businessmen who were afraid of threats and terror-related actions of this party’s militant wing. While a majority of the innocent people of the city and followers of the MQM do not know the malpractices and criminal acts of this political party and its connections with anti-Pakistan external entities—are being misguided by their old leaders who act upon the directions of Altaf Hussain.

The loyal Pakistanis, living in Karachi must know that Karachi is Pakistan’s largest port and financial hub with the largest commercial markets, collecting 70 per cent of the country’s tax revenue. So, besides causing unrest in the city, creating instability in Pakistan, another aim of the MQM was to cripple the economy of the city which was intermittently brought to a halt with shut-down strikes—many shops including other business centers were forced to be closed. And, old leadership of MQM misguides the people by propagating that national institutions are not made to develop other areas of Pakistan like Karachi, alleging that the establishment is once again doing the ethnic cleansing of Muhajirs.

Regarding the foreign connections of the MQM, Defence Clifton Resident Committee (DCRC), Mohajir RAbitta Council (MRC) and Mohajir Ittehad Tehreek (MIT) are the three front organizations of MQM (Altaf) which usually depict themselves as separate entity of Mohajirs whereas, these are controlled, monitored and directed by MQM (A). These front organizations serve those agendas and activities of MQM (A)—international establishment for which MQM (A) do not want to use its own platform.

MQM (A) is likely to use these front organizations for initiating its campaign for separate Mohajir province, besides giving out an impression to the international platform that this demand of new province is the voice of all other Mohajir organizations communities.

DCRC includes Syed Akhtar Mehdi Balgrami, Head of DCRC, Mehfooz Yar Khan, Joint Incharge and Anwar Fatima Farah, Joint Incharge, MRC’s Head is Javed Iqbal and Secretary is Muhammad Arshad Siddiqui, while, Dr Qazi Saleem Haide is head of MIT, with member  Muhammad Rashid Qureshi. 

Nevertheless, MQM is propagating that only Karachi is being targeted by the Rangers and Pak Army is behind the present operation. Their leaders are only creating prejudice against the Rangers and Army to obtain the designs of the external enemies of Pakistan. But, fact is that Pakistan’s armed forces have also been conducting military operations in other parts of the country such as Balochistan, North Waziristan Agencies and other tribal areas.

The residents of Karachi must be aware of the fact that Pakistan Army has given countless sacrifices in the fight against terrorism. In this respect, majority of terror attacks have been foiled/averted and it is only the odd incidents which manage to succeed. In this connection, a summary of terrorism incidents averted during April-June 2016 shows—Islamabad & Azad Jamnu Kashmir, Gilgit Baltistan-8, Punjab-3, KPK & FATA-75, Sindh-3 and Balochistan-58 (Total 147).         

While Army’s top priority is to restore complete peace in Karachi. In this regard, Army Chief Gen. Raheel vowed on April 29, 2016 to finish ‘all mafias’ in Karachi and made it clear that indiscriminate operation in the city would continue till its logical conclusion. Now, especially like Balochistan, peace has almost been restored in Karachi.

Nonetheless, understanding the ground realties, and for peace of Karachi, the residents of the city including moderate elements must make efforts for reorganization of MQM by replacing the old leaders like Altaf Hussain, Farooq Sattar etc. with the new ones. For the purpose, all the peace-loving segments of society of Karachi belonging to MQM must take bold decision jointly, without being afraid of MQM’s militant wing. These patriot-persons must not be misguided by the leaders of the party and its chief. They must know the traitors within the MQM and the real face of its chief Altaf Hussain, as their foreign connections have been exposed.

Pak-India Water Issue Needs Attention

Since the 9/11 tragedy, international community has been taking war against terrorism seriously, while there are also other forms of bloodless wars, being waged in the world and the same are like terrorism. Political experts opine that modern terrorism has many meanings like violent acts, economic terrorism etc., but its main aim is to achieve political, economic and social ends. Judging in these terms, Pak-India water issue needs special attention, as India’s water terrorism against Pakistan continues.

In March, 2011, speaking in diplomatic language, Indus Water Commissioner of India G. Ranganathan denied that India’s decision to build dams on rivers led to water shortage in Pakistan. He also rejected Islamabad’s concerns at water theft by New Delhi or violation of the Indus Water Treaty of 1960, assuring his counterpart, Syed Jamaat Ali Shah that all issues relating to water would be resolved through dialogue. However, ground realties are quite different from what Ranganathan maintained.

Besides other permanent issues and, especially the dispute of Kashmir which has always been used by India to malign and pressurize Pakistan, water of rivers has become a matter of life and death for every Pakistani, as New Delhi has been employing it as a tool of terrorism to blackmail Islamabad.

In this regard, Indian decision to construct two hydro-electric projects on River Neelam which is called Krishanganga is a new violation of the Indus Basin Water Treaty. The World Bank, itself, is the mediator and signatory for the treaty. After the partition, owing to war-like situation, New Delhi deliberately stopped the flow of Pakistan’s rivers which originate from the Indian-held Kashmir. Even at that time, Indian rulers had used water as a tool of aggression against Pakistan. Nevertheless, due to Indian illogical stand, Islamabad sought the help of international arbitration. The Indus Basin Treaty allocates waters of three western rivers of Indus, Jhelum and Chenab to Pakistan, while India has rights over eastern rivers of Ravi, Sutlej and Beas.

Since the settlement of the dispute, India has always violated the treaty intermittently to create economic crisis in Pakistan. In 1984, India began construction of the Wullar Barrage on river Jhelum in the occupied Kashmir.

In the past, the issue of Wullar Barrage has also been discussed in various rounds of talks, being held under composite dialogue process between the two rivals, but Indian intransigence has continued. In the mid-1990s India started another violation by constructing the Baglihar dam on the Chenab river. In 2005, Pakistan had again sought the World Bank’s help to stop construction of the Baglihar dam. Although WB allowed India to go ahead with the project after a few modifications, yet it did not permit the interruption of the agreed quota of water flow to Pakistan.

In 2008, India suddenly reduced water flow of the Chenab river to give a greater setback to our autumnal crops. Islamabad on September 17, 2008 threatened to seek the World Bank’s intervention on the plea that New Delhi had not responded to its repeated complaints on the issue appropriately. But, India did nothing to address the problem.

However, New Delhi has been using water as an instrument to pressurize Islamabad with a view to getting leverage in the Pak-India dialogue especially regarding Indian-held Kashmir where a new phase of protests against the Indian illegitimate occupation has accelerated. In this respect, the then Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi had said on February 8, 2010 that Pakistan’s case on Kashmir and water was based on truth, and the government would fight it with full strength.

Indian diplomacy of water terrorism could also be judged from some other development. Online reports suggest that New Delhi has secretly offered technical assistance to the Afghan government in order to construct a dam over Kabul River which is a main water contributor to Indus River.

In fact, India wants to keep its control on Kashmir which is located in the Indus River basin area, and which contributes to the flow of all the major rivers, entering Pakistan. It is determined to bring about political, economic and social problems of grave nature in Pakistan.

In this context, China Daily News Group wrote in 2005: “Another added complication is that in building a dam upstream of Pakistan, India will possess the ability to flood or starve Pakistan at will. This ability was witnessed in July of 2004 when India, without warning, released water into the Chenab river, flooding large portions of Pakistan. The history of conflict between these two nations makes it possible for New Delhi to use nature as a real weapon against Islamabad.”

According to an estimate, unlike India, Pakistan is highly dependent on agriculture, which in turn is dependent on water. Of the 79.6 million hectares of land that makeup Pakistan, 20 million are available for agriculture. Of those 20 million hectares, 16 million are dependent on irrigation. So, almost 80% of Pakistan’s agriculture is dependent on irrigation.

It is noteworthy that many of Pakistan’s industries are agro-based such as the textiles industry. Besides, 80% of Pakistan’s food needs are fulfilled domestically. Thus an interruption of water supply would have broad-ranging effects. For example, when the country suffered a drought from 1998 to 2001, there were violent riots in Karachi.

It is mentionable that half of Pakistan’s energy comes from hydroelectricity, and at present, our country has been facing a severe crisis of loadshedding which is the result of power-shortage in the country. During the recent past summers, people in a number of cities like Karachi, Lahore, Multan, Faisalabad etc. lodged violent protests against the loadshedding, culminating into loss of property and life.

It is of particular attention that Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Water and Power Khawaja Asif warned on February 10, 2015 that although the electricity shortage in the country would be overcome within two to three years, the scarcity of water is another issue looming in the country.

While, Pakistan has already been facing multiple challenges of grave nature coupled with a perennial phenomenon of terrorism, created by the militants who are being backed by Indian secret agency, RAW, New Delhi also employs water as an instrument by increasing its scarcity, making life too often miserable for Pakistanis with the ultimate aim of creating poverty which could produce more terrorism in turn. And, India is likely to deepen differences among Pakistan’s provinces over various issues which are directly or indirectly related to water.

Keeping in view the Indian inflexibility on water issues, avoiding international arbitration, exploitative attitude over the Indus Water Treaty and resounding threats of water scarcity in Pakistan, the latter should take become proactive in relation to this issue.

In this respect, a comprehensive campaign may be launched to highlight importance of water storage, prevalent water issues between Pak-India, India’s water terrorism and implications for Pakistan and need for early resolutions.

Islamabad should continue lobbying that India has been violating the Indus Water Treaty and New Delhi should be compelled to abide by the Treaty in its true letter and spirit.

Besides, international lobbying should be intensified on the point, i.e., water being the “lifeline” issue for Pakistan and this could trigger war.

In case, India raises the issue at official level, then Islamabad must seek arbitration and intense involvement of World Bank, International Court of Justice and other relevant international forum to resolve hydro related issues with India, after necessary preparation.

Some online sources disclosed that the role of ex-commissioner of the Indus Water Commission, Jamaat Ali Shah has damaged Islamabad’s cause and take effective measures to make sure Pakistan’s case in the Indus Water Treaty is not diluted in future. These sources also revealed that Chairman WAPDA was forced to resign for advocating Kalabagh dam in his series of columns.

Nonetheless, Islamabad must internationalize the water issue---as a major focus of the international community; otherwise India is likely to continue its water terrorism against Pakistan.

Who Will Save Pakistan?

Pakistan is passing through the most crucial time of its history. Not because it has some external threats or chances of hostilities and aggression by its some neighbours but for the reason that unfortunately it has dire threats from its very own people; folks who belong to Pakistan, who have availed the luxuries and enjoyed all the possible perks those could be extended to them but at the end of the day when it was their turn to pay back to the holy motherland, what they paid was nothing but abuses, cursing and stabbing the back.

Everyone who has some care and pain for Pakistan is baffled and bamboozled about what is being said by a group of politicians none other than of a national repute who were expected to behave responsibly and what all they are doing. It looks as if the history of East Pakistan is purposely being repeated; same scenario, same situation, same characters but with the changed names. One wonders if the outcome of this whole drama is also going be to be (God forbid) the same too?

Just few weeks back the Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party head Mahamood Khan Achakzai stirred up a controversy by saying on Afghan soil that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa belongs to Afghans and they can live there without fear and irritation. “If Afghans are harassed in other parts of Pakistan, they should come here to the Pakhtunkhwa province, where no one can ask them for refugee cards, because it also belongs to them.” He came up with a novel idea that Kabul and Islamabad should exercise extreme caution to resolve Torkhum crossing conflict. Otherwise, they should leave the issue to the US and China, and they would resolve it within two weeks. This controversial statement was stillin the air when Achakzai deliberately once again hurt the feelings of billions of Pakistanis in general and millions of Pashtun categorically when on the floor of the parliament he said that he will never say Pakistan Zindabad until the Pashtun are subjugated by the Punjabis and any Pashtun who says Pakistan Zindabad is a disgrace. The irony was that the govt quarters didn’t question him neither did the speaker of the parliament expunge his obnoxious and disgraceful remarks.

Achakzai’s links with the Afghan intelligence and the Indians are an open secret now. Everyone knows about his close relations with the Afghan Intelligence chief who happens to be from the Achakzai tribe of Afghanistan side. Sometime ago a senior anchorperson, Mubashir Lucman had revealed that the chief of Pashtunkhwa Mili Awami Party (PkMAP), Mehmood Khan Achakzai allegedly received millions of dollars from the Afghan Intelligence for winning the elections in 2013. In his program ‘Khara Sach’, he showed a video in which it can be clearly seen that the notorious commander of the Afghan Intelligence, Major General Abdul Razik Achakzai, who is considered to be involved in different plans aimed at breaking Pakistan, is conspiring against the Pakistan Army. He is also alleged of infiltrating the agents of India’s spy agency Research and Analysis Wing (RAW), in Pakistan with a motive of spreading terrorism here, after training them at his stronghold in Spin Boldak, Afghanistan. Lucman also showed the pictures of two bullet-proof land cruisers, which were gifted to the PkMAP chief by the Afghan Intelligence.
Pakistan and the Pakistanis were still not over with the embarrassment when another disgrace and traitor Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Chief Altaf Hussain’s anti-Pakistan speech went viral on social media which stirs controversy across the country.
In the available video clip, the MQM supremo can be seen not only cursing Pakistan Army Chief General Raheel Sharif but calling Pakistan a failed state, cancer, epicenter of terrorism and worst country on earth. Altaf Hussain made this live audio-call-speech to its party workers in Karachi who were on a Hunger Strike for last 6 days. MQM leader not only cursed Pakistan but also asked workers to attack Media Houses which do not broadcast his live video calls from London. The speech caused huge disrupt and unrest in Karachi. MQM’ provoked workers attacked different Media Houses in Karachi especially ARY News, Neo TV and other media workers. Following the attack, violence erupted in various parts of metropolitan in which at least one innocent lost his life and many received injuries.

Amidst this when patriotic Pakistanis were looking towards the prime minister and were expecting him to give a strong shut-up call to these disloyal and anti-state elements, the Punjab government’s blue eyed the provincial law minister Rana Sanaullah Khan came up with a weird and funny claim that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is silent on the arrest of an Indian agency’s agent from Balochistan under a strategy. Not only that he declined to confirm arrest of two Indian engineers on sabotage charges from a factory owned by the Sharifs in a Punjab town, he refused to reveal that “brilliant strategy” too.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is not only silent over Kulbhushun Yadav case, Achakzai’s statement or Altaf Hussain’s treason but he is silent over killing of innocent Kashmiris also, only because of his friendship with Indian Prime Minister Modi and for his this mysterious and criminal attitude he is blamed by almost every opposition leader of repute. Some of the on record allegations were; Nawaz Sharif’s silence over Kashmir riots is reprehensible and unacceptable, it seems like Nawaz and Modi have taken the same stance over the killings in Kashmir, Nawaz Sharif is silent on the deadly violence in Kashmir due to his friendship with Modi, this friendship has done severe damage to the Kashmir cause and as the result; innocents are being murdered in cold blood.

A painful question lurking in every concerned and faithful Pakistani mind that if our leaders have banked upon selling the country once again then who will come forward to rescue the motherland and the inopportune nation? Or we are waiting for another fall after the Dhaka to happen?
